Design Brief
This villa was designed to appreciate its location, with a focus on garden spaces, courtyards and the picturesque views.
The villa is set in an exclusive area surrounded by greenery and other high impact buildings. The villa and the landscaping was key to knitting the surroundings to the contemporary design.
This villa sits on a double width block and the clients wanted to maximise the impact of the villa from the street view. Designed with a rising grand entrance to make a powerful statement and to make people stop and look in appreciation. We adopted a minimalist approach with reduced lines and very fine brickwork to ensure that impact of the entrance was maximised.
For the sake of flexibility, the interior has been designed with spaces that can easily be closed off when not in use or opened up when the need arises.
The geometry creates varied spatial experiences, expansion and contraction horizontally and vertically, reinforcing the series of stepped courtyards.
External Design Inspiration
ike a beautiful pearl emerges from its shell, our designed was inspired to reflect the magnificence visually delicacy and robustness of pearls.
To achieve these results we used globally sought after materials that are locally source such as white stone from the hills of Hebron and rare beirzet bluestone. We were able to combine these materials to create prominent lines and visual features to create a visually delicate yet magnificent piece of 3D art.
The final external design invites spectators to wonder what beauties are contained within the shell.
Internal Design Inspiration
Our client has always dreamt of building a home which would reveal its secrets at every turn.
The home wants to share its secrets and features. It interacts with you and works with you to maximise your comfort.
Using home automation to create passive enjoyment of the various entertainment and private spaces is a key feature of this design.
