The Villa explores the relationship between public and private space.
This villa was designed with plenty of large spaces of private and public living areas. Energy saving materials were used to reduce the costs of heat and cool the villa throughout the seasons of the year particularly on extremely hot and extremely cold days and nights.
A parent’s quarter is located in the upper level and is designed as a separate dwelling. The parent’s retreat combined private indoor and outdoor spaces with seamless transitions to provide a private and relaxing escape for the parents without being disturbed.
Habitable spaces have been clustered on a single level, providing easy circulation should the clients have limited mobility in the later stages of their lives.
